王乐遥博士团队研究工作聚焦人类微生物组学、人类基因组学及病原-宿主相互作用的领域,致力于揭示宿主-微生物-病原的互作机制及其对人类健康的影响。主要运用人群队列研究方法,分子生物学研究技术,以及生物信息学前沿分析方法,探索以下科学问题:
1. 人类微生物组的母婴垂直传播。团队通过建立全球性出生队列并长期追踪来探索有益菌群在代际间的传播原理,并致力于研究环境等差异因素对微生物菌群早期形成的影响。
2. 微生物组及其他病原体的基因进化。团队利用测序及生物信息学研究方法,研究人类微生物组和其他病原微生物的基因进化及与宿主和免疫相关疾病的相互调控关系。
3. 气候变化对人类微生物组的影响。团队通过人群队列研究和分子生物学研究手段来揭示并阐明极端天气事件对人类微生物态系统的改变。
