i-BRAIN (Institute for Brain Research Advanced Interfaces and Neurotechnologies) is a highly-interdisciplinary research institute focused on developing transformative brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that blur the distinction between electronics and the brain. Founded by world-renowned scientist Prof. Charles Lieber, i-BRAIN will enable groundbreaking research to understand the brain and brain diseases as well as breakthrough technologies for treatment of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases for the near-term but also enable future advances and treatments that today may be considered the realm of science fiction. Additionally, i-BRAIN will instill a positive and highly interdisciplinary culture in the training of young scientists, engineers and doctors such that they are prepared to lead the development of science and engineering as well as the translation of ideas into commercial technologies that benefit present and future generations!

1.NHP Research Technician – Animal Handling & Behavioral Training

Core Responsibility

1.动物日常操作与管理配合：配合经授权的动物照护人员，开展非人灵长类动物的日常操作、安全转运及行为训练前的准备工作。

Routine animal handling and management support: support routine NHP handling, safe animal transfers, and preparation for behavioral training sessions in coordination with authorized animal care personnel.

2.实验猴适应训练：开展实验猴的猴椅适应及驯化训练，持续观察和记录动物的行为表现与健康状况，关注训练过程中的动物福利。

Acclimation training for NHP: conduct and document NHP chair acclimatization and habituation, monitoring animal behavior and welfare throughout training.

3.运动行为训练：按照既定实验方案，使用触摸屏和/或操纵杆系统开展基础运动行为任务训练，协助实验猴逐步掌握相关任务。

Motor and behavioral training: train NHPs on basic motor behavioral tasks using touchscreen and/or joystick systems, following established experimental protocols.

4.行为实验与测试支持：协助完成行为测试的设备与任务设置、奖励反馈、实验过程监测，以及训练数据和行为表现数据的采集。

Support for behavioral experiments and assays: assist with behavioral testing, including task setup, reward delivery, session monitoring, and collection of training and performance data.

5.实验记录与进度管理：准确记录实验猴的训练进展、行为表现、设备使用情况及训练过程中出现的问题，并及时反馈需要跟进的事项。

Experimental documentation and progress tracking: maintain accurate records of animal training progress, behavioral performance, equipment use, and any issues requiring follow-up.

6.设备运行与维护：协助完成行为训练设备的准备、操作、清洁及基础故障排查，并与科研团队协作保障设备正常运行。

Equipment operation and maintenance: help prepare, operate, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting of behavioral training equipment, in coordination with the research team.

7.规范执行与团队协作：严格遵守经批准的动物实验方案、动物福利要求、生物安全规范及机构管理制度，与课题负责人、科研人员、兽医及动物设施管理人员保持密切沟通。

Protocol compliance and team collaboration: follow the approved animal experimental protocols, welfare requirements, biosafety regulations, and institutional management rules, and communicate closely with investigators and veterinary staff, and animal facility personnel.

Requirements

1. 学历要求：动物科学、生物学、神经科学、兽医相关专业、心理学或其他相关专业本科及以上学历；具有硕士学历者优先。

Educational requirements: bachelor’s degree or above in Animal Science, Biology, Neuroscience, Veterinary Science, Psychology or other related disciplines; Master’s degree is preferred.

2. 相关实践经验：具有恒河猴等非人灵长类动物操作、照护、适应驯化或行为训练相关实操经验；具备猴椅适应训练经验为核心加分项。

Relevant practical experience: hands-on experience in handling, husbandry care, acclimatization and behavioral training of non-human primates (e.g. rhesus macaques); prior experience with primate chair acclimation training is a key plus.

3. 专项技能：具有基于触摸屏、操纵杆等系统开展运动行为任务训练、测试及数据采集的经验。

Specialized competencies: experience in conducting motor behavioral task training, testing and data collection using touchscreen, joystick or similar behavioral systems.

4. 熟悉非人灵长类动物实验流程、动物福利要求及相关操作规范；具备行为实验设备操作、基础故障排查以及实验流程优化能力。

Familiarity with standard NHP experimental workflows, animal welfare regulations and relevant operating protocols; able to operate behavioral testing equipment, perform basic troubleshooting and optimize experimental procedures.

5. 具有神经科学、脑机接口（BCI）或电生理相关科研项目支撑经验者优先。

Prior experience supporting research projects in neuroscience, brain-computer interface (BCI) or electrophysiology is highly preferred.

6. 具备良好的英文阅读与沟通能力，能够理解英文实验方案、操作规程及科研文献。

Solid English reading and communication skills, capable of comprehending English experimental protocols, SOPs and scientific literature.

7. 工作耐心稳定，重视动物福利与实验安全。

Patient, consistent and safety-oriented, with strong awareness of animal welfare.

8. 具备良好的文档整理能力，规范做好实验记录，能够和跨学科研究团队紧密协作。

Strong organizational skills, standardized record keeping, and ability to collaborate efficiently within an interdisciplinary research team.

9. 岗位为深圳全职在岗。

Full-time on-site position based in Shenzhen.
