The Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART) is an institute blazing new trails for future medical sciences. SMART is on a crucial mission to explore new mechanisms that best stimulate original innovations while cultivating a community of top talents who are ready for pressing challenges. At SMART, translating science and technology into health for all is at the center of what we do. Utilizing a whole-process approach, we continuously push the limits of biomedical research in order to bridge the gaps in basic, clinical, and translational fields.
In line with its development plan, SMART invites outstanding talents in the field of immunology to join as independent Principal Investigators (PIs). Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) innate and adaptive immunity, inflammation, immune response to pathogens including viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc., neuroimmunology, cancer immunology, autoimmunity, and comparative and systems immunology.
Applicants at junior and senior levels are both encouraged to apply.
1. Follow the basic goals and development plans of SMART, independently lead research groups to conduct innovative scientific research.
2. Independently apply for various scientific research projects and funds.
3. Manage research groups, mentor graduate students, and guide the research work of associate researchers, assistant researchers, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, etc.
4. Actively participate in relevant activities of SMART, including academic conferences, talent recruitment, and external exchanges and cooperation.
Qualified candidates will receive an internationally competitive salary, ample start-up funds, lab space, office space. State-of-the-art core facilities, translational platforms, and interdisciplinary academic environment are also available at SMART. Assistance will be provided in applying for national and regional talent awards and subsidies.
