The inauguration ceremony of the Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trials Center (BAY TRIAL) of SMART was held at the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone on November 21. This significant occasion also signified one year since SMART was founded.
Chaired by Wu Hongyan, Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, the event was attended by representatives from national ministries, the Guangdong and Shenzhen governments, as well as experts, scholars, and business leaders from the Greater Bay Area.
Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong, alongside other distinguished guests, unveiled the Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Center, signifying a major stride in advancing biomedical innovation and fostering international collaboration at SMART.
During the ceremony, SMART Founding President Nieng emphasized that the establishment of the center represents not only a significant milestone in SMART's development but also a new starting point for the Greater Bay Area’s healthcare industry on the international stage. By undertaking joint international cooperation projects, sharing data and resources, and expediting the application of clinical trial outcomes, the center aims to drive high-quality development of the biomedical industry in the Greater Bay Area.
