Mass spectrometry instrumentation and its biomedical applications

Professor of the Department of Precision Instrumentation at Tsinghua University and Dean of the Shenzhen International Graduate School; Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). His research focuses on mass spectrometry instrumentation and its biomedical applications, with significant contributions in mass spectrometer miniaturization, ambient ionization, and biomolecular structural analysis. He has led major national projects including the National Key R&D Project, the National Major Scientific Instrument Development Project, and the NSFC Key Project. He serves as Vice President of the China Society for Measurement and Testing, President of the Beijing Society for Instrumentation, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Mass Spectrometry. He has received numerous honors, including the U.S. National Science Foundation Early Career Award, Coulter Foundation Early Career Award, Purdue University Faculty Scholar, Research Award from the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, and the Curt Brunnée Award for Instrumentation Research from the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation.
